Start Date Mar 21, 2024 3:00 PM
End Date Mar 21, 2024 4:00 PM
Duration 1 hour
Description

Please join us for an informational webinar to learn how your court can apply for federal grant funding through the Bureau of Justice Statistics (BJS) National Criminal History Improvement Program (NCHIP) Supplemental program. The second funding round is now available to implement provisions of the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act of 2022.

Last year, state court systems received more than $30 million in NCHIP Supplemental funds, which helped them to improve their criminal history records systems. State court systems, defined as the state central administrative office ... of a jurisdiction's court system, are once again encouraged to apply for this funding.

During the webinar, NCSC staff will explain the application process and provide examples of past recipients. Additionally, BJS staff will be available during the webinar to answer any questions you may have.

Speakers:

  • Teri Deal, Deputy Managing Director, Court Consulting Services, National Center for State Courts
  • Chris Wu, Director of Government Relations, National Center for State Courts
  • Devon B. Adams, Deputy Director, Policy Division, Bureau of Justice Statistics
  • A representative from the State Court Administrative Office, Michigan
