The Eastern Shore Mobile Care Collaborative expands access to behavioral health treatment and medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for people with opioid use disorders in rural Maryland. Caroline County employees staff the onsite mobile clinics, and the University of Maryland School of Medicine provides physicians who evaluate and diagnose patients, prescribe medications, and offer advice about program improvements. The onsite treatment team includes a peer recovery specialist, a nurse, and a substance use counselor.
